About Us
Camp Misawannee provides girls with a fun opportunity to grow in friendship, enjoy crafts, drama, and sports activities with the goal of developing a virtuous life.
Our camp staff are responsible, qualified, and caring people who are determined to make sure your daughters have a meaningful, joy-filled week of fun. All our staff participate in a leadership program based on the notion that happiness in life and human virtues are naturally interrelated.
Camp Misawannee is sponsored by Headford Cultural Group, a registered charity whose primary focus is the education and development of women of all ages. Headford’s spiritual activities are entrusted to Opus Dei, an institution of the Roman Catholic Church. Opus Dei's purpose is to help people find God in their everyday lives of work, family, and social relations. Opus Dei was founded in 1928 by St. Josemaría Escrivá, a Catholic priest from Spain who died in 1975 and was canonized by Pope John Paul II on October 6, 2002.
