Examinations of Conscience
Examinations of Conscience
Each camper will have the opportunity to have confession on their day at camp. This is optional for all catholic campers. These examinations will help prepare those campers planning to go to confession. Our younger campers are encouraged to use the Childrens Examination, our LIT campers the TEENS or ADULT examinations.
Camp Misawannee is such a wonderful community of girls that I am proud to be a part of through leadership, friends, and community. I’ve been going to camp since I was a camper back in 2016, to being an Leader in Training, day Camp Leader, then Art Director and Camp Counsellor. My favourite part of coming back to volunteer each year is the relationships with the campers and fellow staff members, as knowing each other for many years makes the bond very special. At Camp Misawannee, you truly get back what you give.

I've been going to Camp Misawannee ever since 2019, and I went all through COVID. It's incredible to me how even though there was a pandemic and the whole world shut down, the camp staff still did everything they could to make sure that the kids had a great time, that camp was still available for those who couldn't imagine summer without it. Now that I have been staff for two years, I appreciate even more the amount of effort it takes to run a camp like this, where we are all community and celebrate our summer together. I have learned responsibility, and how to be a leader through the CIT program, and I enjoy interacting with the other girls and leading a cabin.

Spending my summer as a CIT at Camp Misawannee was an experience I’ll never forget. Being responsible for my group of six young girls taught me so much about patience, leadership, and the power of a positive role model. Watching them grow in confidence throughout the week was the highlight of my summer! I always tried to remind them that while we have fun dressing up and playing outside, beauty doesn’t just come from the outside—it always comes from the within as well. Camp Misawannee isn't just a place to spend the summer; it’s a place where we learn to value who we are on the inside.
